Thanks for the welcome!

What a wonderful response from all of you who commented on our intro! It was great to hear from you and we are so happy that you want to be a part of this page, and to talk about this experience that only a few in America are going through.

OK, now that we have “met”, I’m going to ask a favor! We need to know what YOU want us to talk about, research, find information about, what YOU want this page to be. If you want to write for the page, email at and we’ll talk.

For those who are about to go through a deployment, one of our writers is working on a post about her son’s deployment. For those going through graduation and weddings – Congratulations!

Oh – by the way, we’d like to invite all the dads, uncles etc to join us here too. This isn’t just a Mom’s page, it’s a Parents page (and we’d like to invite the rest of the family too).

So – here we go.

I am thankful for this site for parents. I have 4 in the Air Force. My daughter is a spouse of an airman and she post questions of a forum for the spouses but it is like the blind leading the blind and I end up fixing the tri care issues for her myself and I have no military experience. So maybe a question page where I can get help and ask questions about oversees housing issues and taking pets when moving to certain bases overseas ect… As she gets different answers from the Air Force here and over there. So maybe someone who has already done it could be of more use then someone reading a manual. Thank you again for this site as I always said what about the parents and thought we were really left out of the loop here.
