Deployment is a topic that is near and dear to my heart. I recently published a book entitled "Reporting for Doodie: One Grandmother's Story of Commitment, Frustration and Unwavering Love" to share my experiences - some funny, some sad, some heartwarming - about the effects of deployment on the caregivers at home. I sent a copy to the Obama's and received a wonderful personal letter from Michelle. I'm glad to see that she and Jill Biden are doing some PSA's about supporting the military families at home.
